Kathy Lewis Vice President of Public Affairs |

Kathy Lewis has been named Vice President of Public Affairs for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Ms. Lewis, who has a long history of distinguished service in the world of healthcare and advocacy, comes to Memorial Sloan-Kettering after having served for three years as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. There she was engaged in philanthropy, public relations, and other aspects of the Foundation. Previously, she spent more than 20 years at the Kessler Rehabilitation Corporation, an internationally recognized physical rehabilitation services company with facilities in ten states. At Kessler she held leadership positions in marketing, community relations, and public relations, and in 2000 was appointed Executive Vice President for Corporate Strategy and Development.
Ms. Lewis received a BA degree in family and child studies from Montclair State University and an MA degree in rehabilitation counseling from Seton Hall University. She is a member of the Board and Chair of the Development Committee of the Foundation for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations, and Executive Women of New Jersey.
Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Department of Public Affairs disseminates information about the institution to members of the surrounding community, other healthcare professionals and researchers, the public, and the media.
